Why become a member? When you become a member you will have access to our educational online forum and are able to post your business in our public directory. Part of our mission is to further educate providers on Maternity Care. The forum also helps create community between acupuncturists from all over the US. The listing helps the public find you. We want more people to know that we can be of value during their pregnancy. Your listing lets them know your experience, areas of expertise, and how to contact you.
Membership includes access and participation in our member forum and practitioner directory listing (upon CEU approval).
The Forum is a virtual meeting space which provides easy and quick and PRIVATE access to a community of experienced Acupuncture and Allopathic providers who can answer your questions about difficult cases, treatments, herbs, conditions, research information and so on. From time to time we will have guest moderators who will answer questions and review case studies. You can chime in to ask a question, read a thread on a common topic, or read what other providers are asking. You can engage as much or a little as you want.
One major focus of the MAA is to provide EAMP/LAc practitioners with education in Fertility, Pregnancy and Postpartum care from both the TCM and Western perspective. While we focus on pregnancy and postpartum, the forum is open to discussion topics ranging from pre-conception to postpartum. We have created a safe place where providers, both new and experienced, as well as teachers, can share their wisdom and experience.
DirectoryWe have 3 different provider directories:
We do not offer any certification nor do we require any testing at this time. We may offer this in the future. The purpose of the Maternity Acupuncture Provider designation is to provide the public with providers who have more training and experience in maternity. Students and Non Practicing Members are not listed in either directory.
